three new titles from mega muscle productions released | 10.10.09 | hunters night club in palm springs was packed with the launch of three new titles from mega muscle productions, all directed by brian rusch. all three were part of the "behind the scenes" series from mega muscle and featured mega muscle models lucas walker, brian woodi and newcomer eric turner.

In addition to the films' stars and director being on hand, also present were new models john mccallen and trace wray and legendary fitness model lance lamar.

brian rusch hosts mega muscle expo in palm springs | 10.09.09 - 10.11.09 | brian rusch and mega muscle productions are back at it with the mega muscle photography expo in palm springs, california. the event features an opening night reception hosted by world famous photographer tom bianchi, two days of photography workshop with the men of megamuscle.com and the debut of mega muscle's male review at hunters night club in palm springs.

The entire weekend, organized by brian's company mega muscle, is also sponsored by sweat under gear and the triangle inn resort in palm springs.

aloha life honred at the 2009 covr awards | 06.27.09 | the film Aloha Life, directed by brian rusch, was chosen to be honored for best video/dvd from the coalition of visionary resources or covr.the awards were handed out at a private ceremony at the covr banquet held at the international new age trade show. the visionary awards are judged by retailers and seasoned professionals who evaluate each title based upon content, presentation, and their own knowledge of the industry.

in addition to the award, brian and his music production partner ried kapo ku organized all the entertainment for the event which was modeled after a traditional hawaiian ho'olaule'a.

brian rusch begins production on shooting eros | 04.16.09 | brian rusch has just announced that he is beginning production on the documentary film, shooting eros. the film chronicles the stories of women photographers who shoot the male nude but they do so much more than this. it tells the stories of their struggles, their motivation and ultimately their succes in finding beauty through there art. shooting to begin july 2009 and the film is to be released in the winter of 2010. all profits from this documentary are being used to create a scholarship program for young women who wish to pursue an education in fine art photography.

brian rusch wins the Golden Kahuna from Honolulu International Film Festival | 03.08.09 | brian rusch, director of the film "aloha life" accepted the golden kahuna for the best hawaiian film from the honolulu international film festival. the film was chosen as the best of more than 100o entries in the category and was presented in a formal award ceremony at the hilton hawaiian village in waikiki. on hand to accept the film with brian was the film's star, alika medeiros. after the event, the entire cast and crew hosted a party with several other winners at nobu in waikiki.

brian rusch to partner with jim "kimo" west  | 02.05.09 | brian rusch is joining forces with Slack Key guitarist jim "kimo" west to distribute West's current CDs and on the production of some new  releases.   West was the engineer on Brian's first two CDs, na oli aloha and aloha meditation.   in addition to his solo work, west is part of the hawaiian ensemble "ke apo" with ried kapo ku and is best known for being the guitarist for "wierd al" yankovich.

rusch begins pre-production on fit at 40 | 01.21.09 | brian rusch has begun pre-production on his latest project, fit at 40 starring fitness superstar lance lamar.  the production company is a partnership between rusch and lamar and general filming is set to begin in late spring 2009. this will be the 11th project the duo has worked on together but the first time they have partnered on a production.

aloha life nominated for best film | 01.01.09 | brian rusch's film aloha life, the documentary based on alika medeiros' aloha life workshops, has been nominated for best film in the hawaiian film category at the 2009 honolulu international film festival. the festival, which is held march 6-8 in waikiki, selects the top films amongst hundreds of entries from more than 30 countries. awards will be announced at a special ceremony held at the hawai'i theater center in downtown honolulu.

brian rusch signs distribution deal with new leaf distributing company | 11.19.08 | brian rusch has just finalized a deal with new  leaf distributing company for them to distribute and market all the digital media products created by rusch's company, malama international.  

the deal includes all of the massage made simple series of dvds, the kilo lani yoga products, the aloha life products, and all audio CDs created by the company.

new  leaf distributing company is based in Marietta, GA and focuses on selling multi-media stores to the mind-body market.

brian rusch joins alika medeiros and sergio rossi for the fashion with compassion campaign | 10.16.08 | Malama International's Brian Rusch and Alika Medeiros joined Hollywood's fashionistas at the Sergio Rossi boutique in West Hollywood to help launch the "Pinkitude: Fashion with Compassion" campaign benefiting the Los Angeles chapter of the Susan G. Komen foundation.

The cocktail reception was a fundraiser with 10% of the sales of the Limited Edition shoe going to the foundation and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Pinkitude Pink Ribbon Cards also going to the Susan G. Komen foudnation.The Los Angeles affiliate of the Susan G. Komen foundation raises funds to support local breast cancer services and national breast cancer research programs. A major focus is to help women who have symptoms of breast cancer but cannot afford diagnostic work or treatment - either because they do not have health insurance or because their insurance company will not pay. brian rusch and ried kapo ku co-produce first two of three cd  project.  | 09.23.08 | brian rusch joins hawaiian music sensation ried kapo ku and grammy winner jim "kimo" west to produce the first two in a three cd deal the trio has been working on.  focusing on the beauty and power of hawaiian music, the CDs are set to be available in stores this winter.

executive producer brian rusch forms co-production with hawaiian recording star ried kapo ku | 08.11.08 | executive producer, brian rusch executed an exclusive co-production agreement with recording artist – record producer, ried kapo ku.  under terms of the agreement, the companies will jointly develop and produce music and audio cd projects, beginning with the highly anticipated kenaenae aloha.  kenaenae aloha is a collection of “chants of aloha” that includes both ancient hawaiian chanting, original chants and ancient chants from other cultures that have been translated into the hawaiian language.  the team is also in production on a collection of hawaiian music tentatively titled kane-huna-moku, which includes original hawaiian music co-written by alika medeiros and ried kapo ku and a hawaiian cover of the beatles’s song “imagine”.

malama international to film international new age gathering | 07.11.08 | beginning in june of 2009, brian and the production crew at malama international will be filming the international new age trade show for the exhibitors as well as the show organizers.  the event, held annually in demver, colorado.  

brian to direct documentary on stray animals | 05.10.08 | brian has been hired to direct a documentary on the need for stronger systems for stray animals living in major metropolitan areas.  the film will be shooting in several locales including tijuana and new orleans.

mega muscle's brian rusch assembles top names in glbt community for  hot shots 2008 | 01.29.08 | what do top gay magazine dna, men's designers ristefsky macheda and robert gant, star of the hit showtime series "queer as folk", have in common?  all are joining mega muscle productions for the upcoming hot shots competition!

the hotshots competition is an annual event held in las vegas to find the top male fitness and physique photographers.  this year's winner receives a one year photography contract with mega muscle productions, will photograph an advertising campaign for ristefsky macheda, and shoot a fashion editorial for dna magazine.
