wardrobe stylist

my first introduction to dressing celebrities came when I started the job as head of studio services at american rag, cie. in los angeles.  in addition to working with some of the top industry professionals of the time, I worked with many of the celebrities that would come in for personal shopping services.

one of my clients at the time, l'wren scott, suggested that I should come and work with her.  working with l'wren was a learning experience!  quickly I was thrust into the reality of being a stylist and learned that 14 hour days were the norm.  it was also amazing as I got to meet some of my idols, specifically the late herb ritts.

after several months working with l'wren, I was approached by elizabeth cowan about coming to work with her.  I jumped at the opportunity because I knew that her sense of style was much more interesting to me then l'wren's and their was an opportunity for growth with liz.

elizabeth and I became best friends and we were an amazing team.  I learned so much from her and it was this knowledge that I took with me when I began to work on my own projects.  our working realtionship was one that lasted a decade.

I began to work on my own projects shortly after teaming up with elizabeth.  my first solo job was for playboy magazine!  it wasn't what you think -- I dressed robert wuhl (of the hbo show "arliss") for an interview the magazine was doing with him.  my next big styling gig was with two basically unknown actors - ryan reynolds and maria bello.  ryan quickly became a friend and was the first client I had for personal shopping as well as editorial.  I followed these jobs up with shoots for entertainment weekly, movieline, vogue, tv guide, surface and many more magazines in addition to working on many music videos, commercials and advertising campaigns.
