When our founder Leymah Gbowee was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, she was determined to use her global platform to continue to build peace in Liberia and beyond. Now, ten years later, Leymah’s dream of providing scholarships for three Liberian girls has resulted in 700 university and high school scholarships for young Liberians, over 5,000 young people trained in conflict resolution and a vibrant network of women peace activists across Liberia who are trained and resourced to protect Liberia’s peace.
We are thrilled to announce A Taste of Liberia livestream event is back for 2022. The event will feature a fireside chat between Leymah and Jennifer Jones, President of Rotary International and special guest appearances from Nobel Peace Laureates Kailash Satyarthi, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Dr Denis Mukwege, Dr Shirin Ebadi and Tawakkol Karman as well as Sheryl Sandberg, Chelsea Clinton, Angelique Kidjo and more!
