About the event
This first ever multi-District-led occasion will be joined by a global audience, feature notable service projects and offer “behind-the-scenes" talks with leaders from the United Nations and the Rotary world. The event will encourage communities to seize opportunities for action in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Expected highlights:
- Special interview with Téa Leoni, actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador
- United Nations welcoming by Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General António Guterres
- Rotary members and leaders including RIPN Jennifer Jones, RID/Incoming RIVP Valarie Wafer, Past TRF Trustee Carolyn Jones, First Rotary Club President Sylvia Whitlock, and Rotarian and human rights activist Brian Rusch
- Call-to-Actions by representatives of various United Nations Offices and Agencies
- Spotlights on Rotary/Rotaract/Interact service projects that support the Sustainable Development Goals
