Brian Rusch Receives the Icon of Change Award

Singapore - It was announced today that Brian Rusch is being recognized as an honoree from The Icons of Change Awards, recognizing contributions in leadership, innovation, and social transformation.

This year’s UN theme, the International Year of Peace and Trust, reminds the world that peace is not just the absence of conflict, but the presence of dignity — and that trust is what allows us to build a sustainable, inclusive future together.

In his acceptance remarks, Brian shared about a South African philosophy taught to him by the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the philosophy of “Ubuntu - I am because we are. My humanity is tied to yours. We can only be human together.”

Brian congratulated his fellow honorees and then accepted the award on behalf of everyone working for equality, visibility, and justice - especially in communities too often left behind, stating, "Together, we can transform the Sustainable Development Goals from words on a page into real change."
